The mystery of Quick Silver ....
I was wondering for a long time that Quick Silver had only Z pitch and that CB-F pitch could not be found.
I do not know if the answer is right, but I think that Quick Silver made only Z pitch (77-93-77).
Because racers of the time were full of Kawasaki at that time, Suzuki's GS1000 was also Z pitch (77-93-77).
Only Honda's CB-F pitch (80-101-80) is anomalous, and if it converts to Z pitch (77-93-77) with insulator, there is no need to make CB-F pitch.
Therefore, the insulator of the CB 900 F racer was about twice as long as normal.
I expect so.
クイックシルバーの謎…。
私はクイックシルバーにZピッチしかなく、CB-Fピッチが発見されない事を長年疑問に思っていました。
その答えが正しいかは分かりませんが、元々クイックシルバーはZピッチ(77-93-77)しか作らなかったと思ってます。
何故なら、当時のレーサーはカワサキだらけで、スズキのGS1000もZピッチ(77-93-77)だった。
ホンダのCB-Fピッチ(80-101-80)だけがの変則的で、インシュレーターでZピッチ(77-93-77)に変換すれば、CB-Fピッチを作る必要が無くなる。
だから、CB900Fレーサーのインシュレーターはノーマルの２倍くらいの長さになった。
私はそう予想しています。
